'For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart. The foundations of law and order have collapsed. What can the righteous do?"
When I read in the Bible what the world will be like at the end I shudder. But this verse brings peace. If law and order collapses - what are those who follow Christ to do? Here is the answer:
"But the LORD is in his holy Temple; the LORD still rules from heaven. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth." Psalm 11:2-4
We are to rest in the thought that God is still ruling from heaven. He is watching everyone, the wicked and the good. We may not be able to restore law and order at some times, but we can trust in God that He is there for us and watching over us.
