The Holy Spirit in Us.

"In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words;
and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God."
Romans 8:26-27

I love this verse because sometimes if I am feeling overwhelmed I remember it and ask the Holy Spirit to complete my prayers.

"Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?"

"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 8:35,38,39

I remember when my husband was very ill in the hospital. He had forgotten who he was, where he was and who I was. He had forgotten everything and everyone. But he said as he was laying there thinking he did remember Jesus and God. He felt peace of mind because he knew God was with him. Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 23: Our Shepard.

Psalm 23 - What it means to me.

I am like a helpless child and the Lord takes care of me.
When I am feeling sad and discouraged, He lifts my heart; he gives me peace.

God's name will be lifted up because I will thank him as he leads me through my life.

Even when I am near death I will not be afraid because I know God is with me. Knowing God's power, I'm not afraid of evil and I am comforted.

Those who have harmed me will know God has blessed me.
God has given me more than I have asked for and more than I have dreamed.
I know God's goodness and love will be with me in this life, and some day I will live with him in his house forever.

Aging.

I'm 62 yrs. old now and it sometimes amazes me I have lived such a long time. I remember when my grandmother turned 61 and it seemed so old to me at 13.

I recently had a dream about aging. I was at Disneyland and I looked in a mirror and saw how my hair had turned silver. I went into Geppetto's Workshop to buy a souvenir and decided to buy the the White Rabbit's pocket watch (from Alice in Wonderland). Time is running out. There is much more time behind me than before me.

I read these verses today:

But now, this is what the LORD says--he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. Isaiah 43:1

God created me, he formed me when I was growing inside my mother.
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb." Psalm 139:13

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. Isaiah 46:4

It is an awesome thought to me that God has been with me every moment of my life and will be with me when I die. He was there for my first breath and will be there for my last. Thank you God!
