Weakness & Strength

My heart panteth, my strength faileth me.—PSA.38:10.

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For when I am weak, then am I strong.

Fierce Winds.

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
Clement Moore

"Do I fully grasp the truth that He is always with me, even when I’m being whipped around by fierce winds? When I’m lying exhausted before an obstacle too great for my feeble strength? I think when I finally accept that as truth and say, “All right. You are with me no matter how forceful or destructive the circumstances are around me. I believe that. I rest in that.” Maybe–just maybe–if I know that truth, I won’t worry too much about the forces swirling menacingly
around me. Thank You, Lord Jesus,”

God's Strength.

Isaiah 40:29-31

"He gives power to the faint,
And to him who has no might,
He increases strength.

Even the youth shall faint and be weary,
And young men shall fall exhausted;
But they who wait for the Lord
Shall renew their strength.

They shall mount up with wings like eagles.
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint."
