Matthew 24:23-31

Jesus said, "If anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ,' or 'There he is,' do not believe them. For false Christs and false prophets will come and show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead even the faithful. Remember, I have told you in advance.

So if they say to you, 'Look, Jesus is in the wilderness,' do not go out to see, or 'Look, he is in this room,' do not believe them.

For just as the lightening comes from the east and flashes to the west, so it will be when I come back.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the people of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.

And he will send forth his angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together his people from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other."


I Thessalonians 4:16-18

Paul: "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of god, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words."
