We are in a War.

We are in a war. A war of good against evil.

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly."
Ephesians 6:12

'Spiritual forces in the heavenly.' These are the evil angels who fell from heaven many years ago. But how can we fight against these spiritual forces?

Paul uses the image of a soldier's battle garb. He says:

1. Gird your loins with the truth. (The Bible)

2. Wear the breastplate of righteousness. (Christ's robe of righteousness covers us.)

3. Shod your feet with the good news of peace. (Wherever you go, speak good things of peace.)

4.Hold up the shield of faith. (Trust God.)

5. Wear the helmet of salvation. (Believe you are saved, it gives you peace and joy.)

6. Take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (When we read and speak the words of God, the evil insede and outside of us will fall.)

Jesus used the words of God against Satan in the wilderness and he was victorious. We can do the same thing.
